Frederick Pride

Frederick Pride is organized by The Frederick Center in downtown Frederick. The 2026 parade ran on the evening of Friday, June 26, followed by a free all-day festival at Carroll Creek Linear Park on Saturday, June 27 with drag performances, music, food trucks, vendors, nonprofit booths, a beverage garden and a children's area. Sunday events included a bike ride and brunch crawl.

The Frederick Center is a 501(c)(3) organization that supports and advocates for LGBTQ+ people and their families in the Frederick area. It has grown to run more than 500 program events a year, provides services to youth and adults, and lists an LGBTQ+ crisis hotline number on its site.

Pride weekend brings tens of thousands of visitors to downtown Frederick, and the center publishes road closure, transit and parking information ahead of time. The 2026 parade was the second annual, and official afterparties follow it. At the festival, hundreds of local vendors and nonprofits take part, the beverage garden features local breweries and wineries, and a pride shop sells merchandise. When the festival closes, an official afterparty at the Lodge features meet-and-greets and performances by the drag guests.

In 2026 the weekend closed with Spill the Tea, a conversation with musical headliner INIKO. Pride in Frederick also extends through the month, with events such as pride proms and drag story times, and volunteers help staff both the pre-Pride events and the festival.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 26-28, 2026. It usually falls last weekend of June.
