Valley Pride

Valley Pride is the San Ramon Valley's Pride celebration held in Danville. 2026 was its third annual celebration.

Valley Pride is presented by the Town of Danville together with Danville Congregational Church, PFLAG Danville-San Ramon Valley, Discovery Counseling Center and the San Ramon Valley Diversity Coalition, all Tri-Valley groups focused on justice. Volunteers from these organizations plan the event, which reflects their shared commitment to inclusion and what they call radical welcome. Danville Congregational Church has been an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ for more than 25 years.

The day takes place at the Danville Community Center and Town Green on Front Street and begins with a flag raising, welcome remarks and short speeches from community leaders, including a member of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District board. The program mixes education and celebration, with films, speakers, worship and a resource fair where local nonprofits and service providers share information for families, students and the wider community.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic to the lawn. Entertainment has included music from School of Rock, art activities for children and visiting animals. The organizers acknowledge that the event takes place on the traditional, unceded land of the Ohlone and Bay Miwok peoples.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 6-8, 2026. It usually falls first weekend of June.
