Ventura County Pride

Ventura County Pride is a free festival in downtown Ventura organized by Diversity Collective Ventura County, the county's LGBTQ+ resource center. The 2026 festival was held at Plaza Park under the theme Here To Stay.

Ventura County Pride is a weekend-long August event hosted by Diversity Collective Ventura County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to serving the county's LGBTQ+ community. All proceeds support the organization's Community Resource Center and its programs, and the group describes its Pride goals as educating, advocating and celebrating while giving a platform to the community's most marginalized members.

The Community Resource Center offers free anonymous HIV and AIDS testing, peer support groups and cultural competency training grounded in local data. It is home to programs such as Rainbow Umbrella for LGBTQ youth and allies, Little Unicorns, Outspoken, VENXS and Pride Nook, as well as Diversity SHINES, its STI and HIV screening and prevention program.

Beyond Pride, Diversity Collective hosts World AIDS Day events, a Pride Prom for LGBTQ+ people ages 13 to 23, and the Diversity Gala. It has also held fundraising evenings at the Ventura Botanical Gardens and run a $5 donation campaign with sponsors and local businesses to support the festival.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held July 25, 2026. It usually falls late July.
