Albuquerque PrideFest and Parade

Albuquerque Pride is a volunteer LGBTQ+ organization that produces the city's annual Pride parade and PrideFest. The parade runs along historic Route 66 on Central Avenue through Nob Hill, from Wellesley Drive to San Mateo Boulevard. PrideFest follows in the afternoon and evening at Civic Plaza downtown and is free to attend.

Albuquerque Pride is governed by a board of directors that members elect at an annual general meeting, where the budget for the coming fiscal year is also discussed. Executive board seats, such as the vice presidents for operations and for marketing and public relations, carry two-year terms and require at least one prior year-long term on the board. The organization also fills 15 director positions with one-year terms, and those do not require any board experience.

Between annual meetings, the group holds monthly general meetings, which have been hosted at UNM Truman Health Services in Albuquerque. Albuquerque Pride also runs the New Mexico Pride titleholder program, which names a Miss, Mr. and Mx. New Mexico Pride along with youth titles. Each titleholder serves for one year before stepping down and passing the title to the next person.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13, 2026. It usually falls second Saturday of June.
