About Las Cruces Pride (Southern New Mexico Pride on the Plaza)

Southern New Mexico Pride is a volunteer organization in Las Cruces that holds Pride on the Plaza, a daylong gathering of community groups, faith groups, businesses, and allies downtown. The FYI+ Las Cruces Pride Parade runs along Main Street just before the plaza celebration, which includes drag performances, vendors, food trucks, and local resources. The group also runs a kickoff, Pride hikes, and a drag brunch around Pride.

What to expect

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
