Carrollton Pride Festival

The Carrollton Pride Festival celebrates the LGBTQ+ community of west Georgia at the University of West Georgia Campus Center. The family-friendly festival includes artists, food trucks and a community market with local vendors, advocacy groups and health partners. Organizer Carrollton Rainbow also holds a Pride Month picnic and concert in June.

The Carrollton Pride Festival is built around the theme Stronger Together and is free and open to everyone, from families and allies to local businesses and faith leaders. The 2026 festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the University of West Georgia campus ballroom.

Organizers note that LGBTQIA+ people in rural west Georgia have limited access to resources, so the festival brings regional and national LGBTQIA+ organizations together with affirming local churches, respectful healthcare providers and large area employers. It also gives residents a chance to meet advocates working on equality policy and to have good-faith conversations across differences.

The previous year's festival drew at least 2,500 people from at least nine surrounding counties, with more than 100 retail vendors, live music and an 18+ drag show to close the day. Tables are available for food trucks, small businesses, nonprofits and artisans, and volunteers can help at several levels.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The next edition is October 3, 2026. It usually falls first Saturday of October.
