Smyrna Pride

Smyrna Pride is a free festival in downtown Smyrna's Market Village, run by a volunteer nonprofit. It features more than 70 vendors, live entertainment, DJs and children's activities, with performances by local LGBTQ+ bands and choruses. A kickoff drag show and a Pride concert in Mableton are held the same weekend.

Smyrna Pride is run by Smyrna Is Fabulous, Inc., a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to welcome and celebrate Smyrna's LGBTQ+ residents and allies by building community and partnerships grounded in social equality. The group's vision is a city where everyone feels welcome, respected and appreciated, and where no one has to wonder whether neighbors will reject them because of who they love.

Its work is guided by five values: respect, integrity, inclusion, community and impact. The organization commits to treating every person with dignity and compassion and expects its partners, volunteers, vendors, sponsors and attendees to do the same. It also pledges to hold itself accountable, to bring people together and lift up their voices, and to create spaces where people of every background and identity feel safe and valued.

Through advocacy, visibility, education, celebration and connection, the group aims to leave a lasting, positive mark on Smyrna. Volunteer co-directors lead its community engagement and events work, including the annual festival.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Smyrna Pride has included festival, kickoff drag show and concert.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13, 2026. It usually falls a Saturday in June.
