Charlotte County Pride Festival

Charlotte County Pride holds its annual Pride Festival at Laishley Park on the Punta Gorda waterfront. The festival features entertainers, vendors and community organizations. The group also hosts other events during the year.

Charlotte County Pride is presented by PFLAG Port Charlotte and is run entirely by volunteers, with support from sponsors and vendors. It works to celebrate, support and connect LGBTQ+ people and allies in Charlotte County. The festival is its biggest event, but the group also hosts community gatherings, educational programs, fundraisers and volunteer activities through the year and supports other local LGBTQ+ organizations.

The 2026 festival lineup was headlined by Lucky Starzzz from season 17 of RuPaul's Drag Race, with host Kylie Summerz introducing performers throughout the day. The program opens with the national anthem, and a DJ provides music. Adult beverages are sold on site, and a premium package offers reserved seating, a private hospitality area and a meet-and-greet with the headliner.

The festival page covers parking, accessibility, vendors and frequently asked questions. As a fundraiser, the group has sold personalized heart-shaped cutting boards engraved with the Charlotte County Pride logo, picked up at the festival, with proceeds going to its programs.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
