Stevens Point Pride

Stevens Point Pride is a daylong festival at Pfiffner Pioneer Park with a main stage and a family tent. It features bands, drag shows, drag bingo, bounce houses, arts and crafts and a color-powder Rainbow Rave. A downtown Pride Crawl was held the night before in 2026.

Point Pride has always aimed to be more than a weekend festival, with the goal of giving LGBTQ+ people in Central Wisconsin a place to find community and chosen family, get resources and grow together year-round. Going forward, it is presented by Point of Pride: Portage County, a newly formed nonprofit serving the region's LGBTQ+ community. Its mission is to create a safe, welcoming environment, encourage people to show their differences and celebrate the many lives that make up Stevens Point.

The weekend opens with a Pride Crawl in downtown Stevens Point, where participating bars offer Pride specials and people who complete a punch card are entered into a giveaway. Crawl packs include early access to Point Pride merchandise. During the festival, graduating seniors from Stevens Point and nearby communities are invited on stage to be cheered on by the crowd and receive a gift.

The event runs on volunteers of every age and experience level, from high school students to seniors, and the organizers welcome both allies and advocates. Donations help cover the cost of future events. The group's guiding principles encourage people to live openly, learn their history, stay open to other perspectives and take an active part in advocating for equality.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13, 2026. It usually falls second Saturday of June.
