Celebrate with Pride Franklin

Celebrate with Pride is an afternoon Pride festival on the Franklin Town Common organized by the Franklin LGBTQ Alliance, a nonprofit founded in 2022. It offers family activities, food trucks, local vendors, nonprofits, and live music.

The Franklin LGBTQ Alliance was set up in 2022 to support, raise awareness of and build connections within the greater Franklin LGBTQIA+ community. Membership is free and every event is open to the public. Along with the June celebration, the alliance runs a T-shirt fundraiser to support its work.

Its year-round calendar is full of smaller gatherings. A book club meets at Franklin TV on Hutchinson Street and has read titles such as The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and Fanny and Stella by Neil McKenna. There are game nights, potlucks, arts-and-crafts workshops, movie screenings and group dinners at Mak's on West Central Street, plus seasonal outings such as apple picking at Fairmount Fruit Farm, a table at the Franklin Public Library trunk-or-treat and a Halloween party at the library.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 27, 2026. It usually falls late June.
