Hopkinton Pride Parade and Celebration

The Hopkinton Pride Parade and Celebration is a free, family-friendly afternoon on the Hopkinton Common organized by the Hopkinton Freedom Team with the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. It includes a parade, drag story time, live music, games, a bouncy castle, and food trucks.

The Hopkinton Freedom Team has hosted the Pride Parade and Celebration with the Hopkinton Center for the Arts for six years. The 2026 afternoon featured Drag Story Time with Miz. Diamond Wigfall and music from The Eight Tracks and Jessye DeSilva, alongside the parade. All entertainment and activities are free and open to every age; only food from the trucks costs money.

The event is funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, with support from Middlesex Savings Bank and the Hopkinton Public Library. Residents can get involved by hosting a table, volunteering on the day or displaying a yard sign. The Freedom Team frames Pride as a way to promote understanding, acceptance and visibility for LGBTQIA+ people as full members of the community, and it has put together an official Hopkinton Pride playlist on Spotify.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 20, 2026. It usually falls a Saturday in June.
