Jackson Hole Pride

Jackson Hole Pride organizes LGBTQ+ Pride events in Jackson and the surrounding valley during June.

For years the Teton Pride Picnic, a potluck hosted by the Jackson chapter of PFLAG, was the valley's only public LGBTQ+ gathering. In 2018 a group of local queer residents held the first Pride Dance Party at the Pink Garter Theatre, which drew 450 people. Later that summer, after years of activism, the Town of Jackson passed a nondiscrimination ordinance by a 5-0 vote, protecting LGBTQ+ people from discrimination in employment and housing and making Jackson the second town in Wyoming to do so.

In 2019 local LGBTQ+ residents and allies marched in the Old West Days parade for the first time, and the second dance party drew an even larger crowd. In 2021 the group launched its website and a series of June events, and Jackson Hole Pride was formed.

Its mission is to support connection, visibility, safety, celebration and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community in Jackson Hole, and it shares queer events outside of June as well. For visitors, it publishes a guide covering local and state laws, safety in town and in the national parks, and where to find community, plus a map of restrooms.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Jackson Hole Pride has included pride month events.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 1-29, 2026. It usually falls june, with a main weekend in mid-June.
