HT Pride (Haddon Township Pride)

HT Pride is Haddon Township's Pride celebration, with a parade down Haddon Avenue followed by a community night the next evening. It is hosted by the Haddon Township Equity Initiative, and 2026 was its sixth year.

The 2026 theme, Full Circle, was chosen to mark the sixth year of HT Pride coming right after the fifth anniversary of the Haddon Township Equity Initiative. Organizers describe Pride as both celebration and protest, carried from one generation to the next, and they framed the year around community care, visibility and joy that lasts beyond one weekend.

The parade steps off at Crystal Lake Avenue and Haddon Avenue and heads down Haddon Avenue to Strawbridge Avenue, ending at Haddon Square for an after party with performances, music, food and community groups. Marchers enter from the PATCO parking lot and perform as they move, with no single performance spot. Haddon Avenue closes in the late afternoon and parking is very limited, so organizers suggest riding PATCO to Westmont Station and bringing water, chairs and signs.

The following evening, Pride and Progress Community Night at Haddon Square offers resources, activities, inclusive vendors, community recognition and performances. The week has also included a free, ticketed Drag Queen Story Time with stories, crafts, a balloon artist, book giveaways and goody bags for families. Groups can take part by walking in the parade, volunteering, tabling or sponsoring.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 4-5, 2026. It usually falls first Thursday and Friday of June.
