Hermosa Beach Pride

Hermosa Beach Pride is a three-day LGBTQIA+ weekend in the South Bay beach city, with a Saturday Pride parade, beach games, drag performances, a concert, and family activities. The 2026 weekend was its sixth annual edition.

Hermosa Beach Pride started in 2021 with a group of residents who wanted a Pride in their city, and it has since become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that produces the celebration every June. Its mission is to engage and inspire the South Bay community to support equity and self-love. The group is led by president Millie Martinez Strodeur, who previously worked for the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Beyond the June weekend, the organization holds events to build community, advocates for LGBTQIA+ people in the South Bay and raises money for LGBTQ resources and organizations. Its calendar also lists events by like-minded groups across the South Bay and greater Los Angeles. Past Pride weekends have included fitness sessions alongside the beach games and drag, and during June the city has raised a Pride flag at City Hall and lit Pier Plaza in Pride colors.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 12-14, 2026. It usually falls second weekend of June.
