Placer Pride

Placer Pride is an annual Pride festival at Royer Park in Roseville serving Placer County.

Placer Pride serves as the main annual fundraiser for the Placer LGBTQ+ Center, and money raised supports the opening and upkeep of what organizers call the first all-ages LGBTQ+ community center in the Sierra Foothills. The 2026 festival marked the center's opening, and organizers describe the event as both a celebration and a community resource for LGBTQ+ youth, families and individuals.

The festival is family friendly and runs from late morning to late afternoon at Royer Park, drawing LGBTQ+ people, families and allies from across Placer County. Attendance has grown from about 500 people in its first year to more than 2,500 in 2025. Sponsors keep the event free, and a grant from the Arts Council of Placer County helps pay for entertainment and ASL interpretation so more people can take part.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held May 16, 2026. It usually falls mid-May.
