Sacramento Pride

Sacramento Pride is a two-day festival and march on Capitol Mall produced by the Sacramento LGBT Community Center. The weekend includes a Pride march on Sunday, a ticketed festival with performers and vendors, a maker's market, and a charity run.

Sacramento Pride weekend is produced by the Sacramento LGBT Community Center, whose mission is to create a region where all LGBTQ+ people thrive. The center supports the health and wellness of the most marginalized people, advocates for equity and justice, and runs programs such as open houses and a Pride 365 series highlighting local businesses year-round.

The march honors the history of Pride and is free to watch and to join as a community member. Organizations, businesses and float entries register ahead of time, and the community can nominate a grand marshal. The festival itself is ticketed, and vendors apply in separate categories for corporate sponsors, small businesses and nonprofits, and the Maker's Market.

The event depends on up to a thousand volunteers. After two years of pandemic dormancy, the center set out to rebuild a community-driven Pride committee that reflects the region's diversity. Posted festival policies cover cost, refunds, equitable ticket distribution, a cashless setup, safety, alcohol service, accessibility, parking and transit. Thousands of hotel rooms sit within walking distance of the Sacramento Convention Center.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Sacramento Pride was first held in 1985.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13-14, 2026. It usually falls second weekend of June.
