Riverside's Inland Empire Pride Festival

Riverside's Inland Empire Pride Festival is held at White Park in downtown Riverside by the nonprofit Riverside LGBTQ+ Pride. 2026 was its fourth annual festival.

Riverside LGBTQ+ Pride is a 501(c)(3) charity run entirely by volunteers, including its board, that works to raise the visibility of LGBTQ+ people in Riverside and the wider Inland Empire. Its mission is to inspire, educate, commemorate and celebrate the local community through public service and public events, and to connect people in need with resources that help them thrive.

Before moving to White Park, the festival was held at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium in 2022 and at the Riverside Convention Center in 2023. The 2026 festival went ahead despite intense heat, and organizers thanked the crowd for turning out anyway.

Outside the festival, the group shows up at other local organizations' events, is building a network of community groups to steer people toward help, and has adopted a section of Merill Avenue for bi-monthly street cleanups that began in July 2022. Plans in progress include outreach programs, an LGBTQ+ business support program and art projects that increase visibility. Outside groups can hold fundraisers on its behalf once they are reviewed and approved.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held May 30, 2026. It usually falls late May or early June.
