Downtown Pomona Pride Festival

Pomona Valley Pride is a nonprofit serving LGBTQIA2S+ people in the Pomona Valley that runs a Pride festival, an Agave Festival, and a gala. The downtown Pomona Pride festival in June is paired with the Love Wins ArtWalk.

Pomona Valley Pride began in 2019 as a small, volunteer-driven effort and has grown into a community hub serving Pomona, Claremont, La Verne, San Dimas, Diamond Bar, Walnut, Montclair, Ontario, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Chino and Chino Hills. Along the way it received funding to expand services, launched a gender-neutral closet and rebranded under its current name as it prepared for a larger, long-term space.

Its center offers free and low-cost programs, including youth groups, support services, workshops and skills classes. Offerings include In My Adulting Era for adult life skills, Together Strong for people supporting loved ones, The Reading Circle, a podcast called Let's Talk About It, and youth groups focused on media and creative work. The Gender-Neutral Closet provides free clothing and accessories Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and visitors can use free Wi-Fi, laptops and a small library.

The organization's mission is to defend and sustain the well-being of LGBTQIA2S+ people and allies through social and emotional support, education and arts programs, partnerships and advocacy. The Pride Festival is one of several year-round gatherings, alongside a Gayla, seasonal celebrations and monthly workshops.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Downtown Pomona Pride Festival has included festival and art walk.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13, 2026. It usually falls june.
