Hillyard Pride

Hillyard Pride is a neighborhood Pride celebration in Spokane's Hillyard area, produced by Spokane Pride. The first annual edition ran from noon to 7 p.m. on September 19, 2026.

Hillyard Pride is produced by Spokane Pride, which organizes queer-centered events throughout the Inland Northwest year-round. Beyond its own events, Spokane Pride supports other LGBTQIA2S+ organizations and activists by lending event infrastructure and promotional help. Spokane has marked Pride since 1992, and the organization also runs a Queer History Project that collects local stories and invites people to add their own.

Spokane Pride publishes community agreements that guide its work with volunteers and partners. They commit to a harassment-free environment, to protecting participants under 18 from predatory behavior, to standing against racism, and to representing the full range of sexual and gender identities. The group also commits to designing accessible Pride experiences with input from people who live with a range of abilities, and to treating its programs as a path toward the community's health and well-being.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
