Savannah Pride Festival

The Savannah Pride Festival is organized by the Savannah Pride Center, formerly the First City Pride Center. The 2026 festival was its 27th annual edition, with the theme Chosen Family. The center also offers health and support services year-round.

Savannah Pride is produced by the Savannah Pride Center, an advocacy, social and service organization working on the safety, empowerment, education and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ people in Greater Savannah. The center's roots go back to 2017, when the Savannah LGBT Center opened and brought a group of service providers together under one roof, giving LGBTQIA+ Savannahians a home many had long been looking for.

Over the next three years, several local queer organizations grew closer. In 2020, with help from First City Network, the Savannah LGBT Center became the First City Pride Center, merging Savannah Pride, Jeffrey's Place and the center into one organization. In 2024, under new leadership, it sharpened its focus on physical, mental and holistic care and took the name Savannah Pride Center. It works to create safe and affirming spaces in the Deep South and to connect community members with quality care, and it is based on Abercorn Street in Savannah.

Festival supporters can buy a Patrons of Pride Pass, which includes an open bar all weekend and a swag bag, with proceeds going directly to the center's programs. Businesses can also take part as sponsors or vendors, and the center lists other Savannah Pride Month events on its website.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
