Rainbowpalooza

Rainbowpalooza is an annual Pride and VegFest organized by VINE Sanctuary, an LGBTQ-founded farmed animal sanctuary in Springfield, Vermont. It features speakers, vendors, food, and music.

Rainbowpalooza takes place at 21 Fairground Road in Springfield and is free to attend. Along with vendors and music, it has food demonstrations and a family-friendly program, reflecting its dual role as a Pride event and a VegFest run by VINE Sanctuary, an LGBTQ+-led animal sanctuary.

Talks on the program cover both LGBTQ+ life and animal advocacy. Speakers have included Aaron Almanza, executive director of the LGBT National Help Center, which runs national crisis hotlines, and Vermont State Senator Becca White of Windsor County. Author Michael Freed-Thall has presented his historical novel The Queen of New York, which links labor organizing, women's suffrage, civil rights and LGBTQ history, with his net royalties going to Outright Vermont. A panel with Protect Our Wildlife, Western Mass Animal Rights Advocates and the New Hampshire Animal Rights League has discussed building local animal protection movements.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Rainbowpalooza has included festival and speakers.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 27, 2026. It usually falls late June.
