Windham Pride

The Windham Pride Festival is organized by Windham Citizens for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The June festival at Windham High School offers live music, crafts, speakers, food, and activities for families.

The Windham Pride Festival is run by Windham Citizens for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, known as Windham DEI, a community group working to make Windham, New Hampshire, more inclusive across race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, class, ability, religion, citizenship and political affiliation. Its mission is to build a safe, welcoming town through service and education, and it makes a point of supporting initiatives led by Windham's young people. Membership is open to current Windham residents and business owners who share its goals.

The festival offers an afternoon of activities for all ages. Past programs have included a drag show and drag queen story time, performances by local musicians, hands-on collaborative art with local makers, shopping from small businesses and LGBTQ+ makers, children's crafts and games, and tables with community resources. A Pride T-shirt is sold each year; the 2026 design revived the group's inclusive W logo, originally created by Windham High School students.

Volunteers can help behind the scenes on their own schedule, by preparing crafts, gathering raffle items or supporting outreach, or take short shifts on festival day with no experience needed. Businesses can choose a tiered sponsorship or underwrite a specific feature such as the balloon arch, body art, drag show or photo booth, and donated raffle items also help fund the event.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 6, 2026. It usually falls early June.
