Bethlehem Pride Festival

The Bethlehem Pride Festival is a family-friendly small-town Pride in the Town of Bethlehem, held across the parking lots of the First United Methodist Church in Delmar. It has a stage for local performers along with food, arts and craft, and nonprofit vendors. 2026 was the third festival.

Bethlehem Pride is entirely volunteer-led. A small board works with its fiscal sponsor, In Our Own Voices, Inc., and a festival planning committee meets monthly along with several subcommittees. The group's vision is a Bethlehem where LGBTQ+ residents and allies are embraced year-round, and it pairs the annual festival with ongoing advocacy and education.

The festival sits just down the road from the Four Corners at 428 Kenwood Avenue. Vendors open at 1 p.m. and performances begin at 2 p.m., with acts from Bethlehem High School and a drag revue hosted by Loretta. More than 30 arts, crafts and nonprofit vendors take part alongside food vendors.

A Kid Zone offers free face painting, henna and glitter tattoos, balloon art from Mike the Magician, and crafts with the Capital District YMCA and Bethlehem Children's School. Families are asked to stop by the Welcome Tent when they arrive.

Parking is available in town lots and at the Delmar Reformed Church, but not on nearby side streets. Organizers encourage walking or biking on the Albany County Rail Trail, and there are bike racks on site. Accessible parking is set aside across the street at Barbara School of the Dance, with a shuttle to the festival and volunteers helping at the drop-off point.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 20, 2026. It usually falls third Saturday in June.
