Curry County Pride in the Park

Southern Oregon Coast Pride holds a family-friendly Pride in the Park day festival in Brookings for Curry County. It includes vendors, resource organizations, music, drag, and a free community meal.

Pride in the Park is organized by Southern Oregon Coast Pride, a group serving Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ people across Coos and Curry counties. Its mission is to hold events that offer hope and support to 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and adults, to educate the wider community about 2SLGBTQIA+ issues, and to work with allied people and organizations to advance equity and justice for marginalized groups in the two counties.

The group's vision is a world where 2SLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC people are respected, protected, valued and free, and where people who have often been left out of the Pride movement are heard.

To guide its future programs, events, outreach and advocacy, Southern Oregon Coast Pride has been running a community needs assessment survey. The survey asks Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ residents of Coos and Curry counties about their needs, priorities and experiences, so the group's work stays grounded in what local people say they want.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Curry County Pride in the Park has included festival, vendors, community meal and drag.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 7, 2026. It usually falls early June.
