Burien Pride

Burien Pride is a three-day Pride celebration in Burien, south of Seattle, held in early June.

Burien Pride is run by the Burien Pride Collective, a year-round volunteer effort that celebrates LGBTQ+ people in Burien through events, partnerships and direct support. It operates under Discover Burien, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Beyond the festival, the collective hosts movie nights and a free social hour from 5 to 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month except July, held at a different local business each time with no reservations needed. It also funds a high school scholarship.

The festival takes place on the first weekend of June and is one of the largest Prides in South King County. 2026 marked its 10th year, and Dykes on Bikes helped open the weekend. Friday night brings a themed street dance party that goes ahead rain or shine, with a beer garden but no vendors.

Saturday is an all-day, family-friendly street festival across Burien Town Square Park and nearby streets, with food, bands, DJs, drag performances, a beer garden for guests 21 and older, more than 100 vendor booths and a dedicated kids' area. The weekend also includes a drag bingo breakfast with pancakes and mimosas, and pancake proceeds go toward a Burien Pride scholarship awarded through the Highline Schools Foundation.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 5-7, 2026. It usually falls early June.
