Edmonds Pride Fest

Edmonds Pride Fest is a Pride festival in Edmonds.

Edmonds Pride is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to host events, create leadership opportunities and provide education that support and connect the LGBTQIA2S+ community in Edmonds, Washington. It runs events through the year and shares a calendar of gatherings from other groups creating space for marginalized communities in town. Donations help pay LGBTQ+ performers, artists, planners and contractors a living wage and keep the June calendar of Pride events free. Local news coverage has described the festival growing into a regional draw.

The festival opens at 2 p.m. with a ceremony hosted by Maya Mem Saab, a South Asian, nonbinary drag performer who held the title Queen of the Pacific Northwest Bearded Empire in 2024. Recent lineups have included Hetakuso, a queer and trans-led Seattle punk band influenced by Japanese rock and anime music, drag and music sets from Indie Scent, Navouny Divine and Miss Diamond, and Americana storyteller Auntmama.

The organization is led by director Rowan, who grew up in Edmonds and began his advocacy work as a high school student in Planned Parenthood's Teen Council program. Board members include a mental health therapist who works with queer youth, a longtime volunteer with partner group Under the Rainbow, a learning and development professional who returned to Edmonds after years in Europe, and a University of Washington English professor who studies the queer medieval archive.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
