About Des Plaines Community Pride Celebration
The Des Plaines Community Pride Celebration is a free, all-ages afternoon festival hosted by the local group SPEAK Des Plaines. It includes games, crafts, snacks, local support organizations and a family-friendly drag show finale.
SPEAK Des Plaines describes the celebration as inclusive, intergenerational and accessible. The 2026 celebration was held at Trinity Lutheran Church. Admission is free thanks to donations, and sponsors at several levels are credited at the craft table, face painting station, photo station, stage and food area. SPEAK has set its sixth annual celebration for June 26, 2027, and invites volunteers to help plan it.
