Hillsboro Pride

Hillsboro Pride is an annual afternoon event at Shute Park. It features vendors, live music and entertainment, food, community resources, and activities for all ages.

The Hillsboro Pride Party is put on by the City of Hillsboro as part of its Pride Month programming. Each June the city flies the Pride flag and uses a Pride-themed city logo on social media, and it encourages residents to explore queer history, local organizations, books, films and arts activities throughout the month. The Hillsboro Public Library and the county library system offer LGBTQ+ books and films, including titles in Spanish, and streaming documentaries through Kanopy.

City Pride programming has also included a display at Jackson Bottom Nature Preserve profiling six LGBTQIA+ environmental leaders, including scientists, educators and advocates working on conservation and wildlife research in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Much of Hillsboro's year-round queer community work runs through the Westside Queer Resource Center, which opened in June 2023. Run entirely by volunteers, the center offers a safe, inclusive space for queer and trans people in Washington County, with drop-in hours three afternoons a week, game nights and an affinity group, and it makes a point of welcoming Latino, immigrant and refugee community members. With the Hillsboro Downtown Partnership, the center has hosted a free Pride Block Party downtown with craft booths, drag, film screenings, face painting, kids' activities and community resources.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 6, 2026. It usually falls early June.
