About Basin Pride Festival
Basin Pride is the Permian Basin's main Pride festival, organized by a social committee of local LGBTQ+ community members serving Midland and Odessa. The 2026 festival at the Ector County Coliseum offered local vendors, community organizations and activities, and capped a Basin Pride Week with events in both cities and an evening drag show.
What to expect
Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
