Owatonna Pride in the Park

Rainbowatonna, an LGBTQ+ organization in Owatonna, hosts an annual Pride in the Park in the city's Central Park. The 2026 Pride events included a drag show at the Elks Lodge the evening before the park festival, which features vendors.

Rainbowatonna is a group of Owatonna residents, both LGBTQIA+ people and allies, who believe representation and visibility matter for queer people in their hometown. The group describes Owatonna as a caring community and sees its work as a new chapter for the city.

Its Pride drag show at the Elks Lodge is now an 18-and-over ticketed event, and guests are reminded to bring cash to tip the performers and bartenders. Vendors register ahead of time for the park festival. Outside of Pride, Rainbowatonna has hosted a Red Cross blood drive at Associated Church and sells merchandise to support its work, sharing updates through its Facebook page. Blood drive donors can give whole blood or, if eligible, a Power Red donation, and they can find the drive by searching for the Rainbowatonna sponsor code on the Red Cross site.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Owatonna Pride in the Park has included pride in the park, drag show and vendors.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held July 10-11, 2026. It usually falls mid-July.
