Pittsford Pride

Pittsford Pride is a village parade that starts on Lincoln Avenue and ends with an afternoon community celebration at the Port of Pittsford on North Main Street.

Pittsford Pride is organized by Pittsford CommUNITY, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to bring the town together through education and awareness. It does that through events built around art, music, film and culture that represent historically excluded groups, with the goal of promoting inclusion and a sense of belonging.

The event is free. The march steps off at 2 p.m. from 35 Lincoln Avenue and ends at 22 North Main Street, and anyone is welcome to march or watch along Main Street. A performance by the Flower City Pride Band has followed at the shelter behind the library. Free parking is available in lots and on streets throughout the village, though organizers suggest leaving extra time because other events, such as a library book sale, can take place the same day.

Pittsford CommUNITY recruits day-of volunteers and helpers for flyers and promotion. Artists can also contribute work to a June Pride display case outside the Pittsford Library.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13, 2026. It usually falls mid-June.
