Rochester Pride Parade and Festival

Rochester Pride is one of New York State's largest Pride celebrations north of New York City. The parade steps off on South Avenue and the day continues with a festival in Highland Park. It is now organized by Trillium Health.

Rochester Pride is organized by Trillium Health, a healthcare provider with deep roots in the LGBTQ+ community that describes itself as more than a clinic, a team of medical and social service professionals focused on the social, emotional and physical health of its patients. Trillium traces its identity to its response to the HIV/AIDS crisis, and today it offers primary and specialty care at 259 Monroe Avenue, pediatric and gynecology care at 170 Science Parkway, on-site pharmacies, food, housing and transportation support, testing and prevention outreach, and harm reduction services.

The parade steps off at 11 a.m. on South Avenue, and the celebration moves to Highland Park right after for the festival. Trillium invites businesses and organizations to support the day as sponsors.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held July 18, 2026. It usually falls third Saturday in July.
