Red Wing Pride

Red Wing Pride is an afternoon celebration at the Central Park band shell in Red Wing, organized by RiseUp Partnership. It includes arts and crafts activities for all ages, live music, a Red Carpet Walk and tables with community resources.

Red Wing Pride is hosted by Red Wing Pride together with RiseUp Partnership's ASPIRE program, short for Authentic Student Pride through Individuality, Respect, and Education. The event is designed as a safe, inclusive space for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, families and allies, and the Red Carpet Walk at 3 p.m. is a crowd favorite. It is run by volunteers and supported by local sponsors.

RiseUp Partnership works to make sure every young person in Goodhue County can thrive, connecting youth and families with services and programs and bringing partners together around shared goals. It began as the Red Wing Youth Outreach Program, offering services through the YMCA at Red Wing High School and Middle School, and over time added an independent living skills program, mentoring for high school students, a distance education assistance program and a youth leadership and advisory council before relaunching as RiseUp Red Wing.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Red Wing Pride has included festival, live music, arts and crafts and red carpet walk.

Red Wing Pride was first held in 2023.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 20, 2026. It usually falls third Saturday in June.
