About WSP Pride in the Park

WSP Pride hosts Pride in the Park at the West St. Paul Sports Complex on Oakdale Avenue. The 2026 park event ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WSP Pride started in 2019, when a few residents decided West St. Paul deserved its own celebration of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and planned a small potluck in the park. It has grown from there into the annual Pride in the Park each July.

The group is run by volunteers and community members and is separate from the city government. Through the year it partners with other organizations and keeps a visible presence in West St. Paul so queer residents know they are welcome. Organizers say they plan with specific people in mind: those who fly a Pride flag all year, neighbors who want everyone included, families unsure they would be welcome and kids who need to see a celebration like this where they live.
