About South Whidbey Pride
South Whidbey Pride holds a Pride parade and festival in Langley on Whidbey Island.
South Whidbey Pride formed informally in spring 2023, when a group of residents created a committee to bring back the Langley Pride Parade after a four-year break. The revived parade on July 8, 2023, drew hundreds of marchers and hundreds more spectators, followed by a gathering at the South Whidbey Community Center with music, food, speakers and information tables. The committee incorporated as a Washington 501(c)(3) nonprofit on September 27, 2023.
Its mission is to unite, educate and engage people to support and celebrate the South Whidbey LGBTQIA+ community and its allies. The parade starts at the corner of Cascade and Camano avenues and heads down Cascade Avenue into downtown Langley, with the festival at the community center right afterward. Free parking is available at the baseball field off Camano Avenue between the fairgrounds and the community center and at Island Church, and ADA parking sits just south of the staging area along the fence.
