Wilsonville Pride Celebration

The City of Wilsonville hosts an annual Pride celebration at Town Center Park with a Pride mural reception. The 2026 event, its third, included a drag performance, a speaker from Basic Rights Oregon, and a DJ.

Wilsonville Pride's mission is to build belonging and connection for LGBTQ+ people in Wilsonville through affirming events, education and advocacy. It envisions a city where LGBTQ+ residents feel welcome and respected and can go about daily life free of stigma, shame or fear. Its founder, a gay man who grew up in Wilsonville, describes the city as an accepting place and the group as a way to build on the work of earlier LGBTQ+ leaders and allies by creating local safe spaces and events.

Volunteers and community champions help run the group. They include Dana, a longtime organizational development consultant and somatic coach who moved to the area in 2021 and is the parent of two gender-expansive adults, and Dr. Mary Pettenger, a professor of politics, policy and administration at Western Oregon University who has lived in Wilsonville with her wife since 2004.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 13, 2026. It usually falls mid-June.
