Katy Pride Celebration

Katy Pride's annual Pride Celebration is the organization's largest event of the year, serving the Katy area west of Houston. The 2026 celebration, themed Stand Tall, Y'all, is held at Bear Creek Rodeo Arena with vendors, entertainment and food trucks. A kickoff party is held on Oct. 1.

Katy Pride works to support LGBTQ+ people in Katy and West Houston by holding inclusive events, advocating for equality and building a community of acceptance. Its stated vision is a place where LGBTQ+ people can live openly and safely, without persecution, judgment, hate or fear. Families are part of the picture, and the group's site features families celebrating together at past events.

Beyond the annual celebration, the group offers community events, workshops and gatherings through the year, education and outreach work, and help connecting people with local and national support organizations. Its board members took part in a NOH8 Campaign photoshoot in 2026. The organization also stresses respect for pronouns, encouraging people to ask, listen and use the pronouns each person identifies with.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
