Pride Houston 365 Festival and Parade

The official Houston LGBT+ Pride celebration is produced by Pride Houston 365, a volunteer-run nonprofit. The 2026 event was billed as the 48th annual celebration, with an all-day festival at Houston City Hall and an evening parade through downtown. The festival features live entertainment, national and local performers, and vendor booths, and the parade includes hundreds of community groups and companies.

Pride Houston traces its origins to Town Meeting I, a gathering held on June 25, 1978, at the Astro Arena. Pride Houston 365 is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) that has produced the official Houston LGBT Pride Celebration for nearly five decades, in Montrose or downtown, and it describes the event as the largest Pride festival and parade in Texas and the South.

The organization handles all festival and parade logistics, including permits, talent and vendor coordination, safety planning and accessibility services. The festival stage features music, cultural and multicultural acts, drag, dance and a mix of emerging and established creators. A board of directors sets policy and approves major spending.

The 365 in the name reflects year-round work. Beyond Pride weekend, the group builds programs and partnerships that support youth and families, encourage leadership and connection, and bring civic and industry partners into its inclusion work. Volunteers help plan events and educational programs, raise funds and do community outreach.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 6, 2026. It usually falls late June; the 2026 edition was moved to early June to avoid the FIFA World Cup matches in Houston.
