North Texas Pride Come As You Are Festival

The North Texas Pride Foundation, a Plano-based nonprofit serving communities north of Interstate 635, holds its Come As You Are festival each October. The family-friendly afternoon event at the ArtCentre of Plano includes sponsor and vendor booths, food and drinks, performances, a kids zone and a VIP indoor area.

The North Texas Pride Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes unity, equality and community integration for LGBTQ people and allies through forums and events focused on self-acceptance, education and social connection. Its long-term goal is a community center north of Interstate 635 offering meeting space, education, recreation, child abuse prevention resources, a food pantry, spiritual guidance and health resources, and it notes that as a young organization it is still raising the money such a facility would need.

Proceeds from the Come As You Are festival go toward that goal. The day includes giveaways, live music and dancing, and activities for adults and children, and VIP tickets for a $25 donation open an indoor area with light refreshments and adult beverages from noon to 4 p.m. The foundation also hosts a Come As You Are bowling social at Plano Super Bowl with two hours of bowling, snacks, shoe rental, a silent auction and a cash bar.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

North Texas Pride Come As You Are Festival has included festival, vendors, kids zone and live music.

The next edition is October 10, 2026. It usually falls second Saturday of October.
