McKinney Pride Fair and Festival

McKinney Pride holds an annual afternoon fair and festival in a park beside historic downtown McKinney. It features queer-affirming vendors, local artisans, nonprofits and wellness groups, entertainers and family and pet friendly activities, with Pride partners on the square.

McKinney Pride's fair and festival takes place at 300 West Louisiana Street, and Pride Partners on the downtown square give visitors a chance to win prizes. The fair brings together local vendors and businesses that support the LGBTQ+ community, handmade work from local artists and creators, and organizations offering health and community resources.

Visitors can register to vote at the festival, pick up free stickers, buttons, bracelets and other Pride goodies, and watch balloon creations by Gary Nance. Well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome, and free water stations are set up, though organizers remind guests to bring sunscreen for the Texas sun. The organizers post updates and announcements through the year on social media, and they share downtown McKinney parking information ahead of the event.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 7, 2026. It usually falls first Sunday of June, afternoon.
