San Diego Pride

San Diego Pride holds its parade through Hillcrest and a two-day ticketed festival at Marston Point in Balboa Park. Pride week also includes the Spirit of Stonewall Rally, a 5K run and walk, a cathedral lighting service, and a block party. The nonprofit runs advocacy and community programs year-round.

San Diego Pride describes its parade as the largest single-day civic event in the region, drawing more than 250,000 spectators and ranking among the largest Prides in the country. Money raised during Pride week supports the nonprofit's advocacy, community programs and philanthropy through the rest of the year. The 2026 theme was Pride Shines On.

The festival at Marston Point in Balboa Park offers community resource booths, queer-owned businesses and several entertainment zones. Tickets are sold in tiers, but high-school-age youth and younger get in free by picking up a ticket at the box office before entering, and volunteers who complete a five-hour shift attend free. A Queer Locals Marketplace reserves juried booths for LGBTQIA+-owned small businesses based in San Diego County, with preference for those that support marginalized groups within the community and use sustainable practices.

Programming continues after Pride week. The Art of Pride program has hosted OUT at the Museum, an evening of queer art and performance at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, and the organization publishes community letters and advocacy updates year-round.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held July 18-19, 2026. It usually falls third weekend of July.
