Space Coast Pride

Space Coast Pride holds its PrideFest each September in downtown Melbourne, with a parade that starts at the Melbourne Auditorium and loops along Hickory Street and New Haven Avenue. A free festival follows at the auditorium's indoor and outdoor spaces. The program also includes a Trans March within the parade and a Rainbow Run 5K.

Space Coast Pride is a Brevard County nonprofit that holds events throughout the year, from small gatherings to its annual festival, which drew more than 20,000 people in 2025. It has also organized events for International Trans Day of Visibility. The board states that community health and safety come first at its events.

For 2026 the festival moved to the Melbourne Auditorium, which offers indoor and outdoor space with separate zones for vendors, families, performances and activities, plus an air-conditioned theater for entertainment. The venue is fully accessible. The parade also went through downtown Melbourne for the first time, and shuttles provided by Matthew's Hope carry people between the parade and the festival.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. and the festival runs from noon to 6 p.m. Both are free thanks to donations and sponsors. Animals other than service animals are not allowed in the event area, and public parking information is posted ahead of the event.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Space Coast Pride has included parade, festival, trans march and 5k.

Organizers reported over 20,000 people in 2025.

The next edition is September 26, 2026. It usually falls late September, on a Saturday.
