Cedar Creek Lake Pride

Cedar Creek Lake Pride is a volunteer group that holds a three-day Pride weekend at Cedar Creek Lake southeast of Dallas. The centerpiece is Splash Day on the Lake, a free family-friendly afternoon at Tom Finley Park open to guests arriving by boat or land, with a welcome party before it and a drag brunch after.

Cedar Creek Lake Pride describes its mission as creating a welcoming space where LGBTQ+ people and allies around the lake feel included, valued and empowered. Along with its annual Pride celebration, the group runs community outreach programs, and its longer-term goal is to open an LGBTQ+ community center that would serve as a safe haven and resource hub.

The group holds at least four days of events during June and relies on volunteers throughout. People can join the planning committee that shapes the year's biggest event, staff check-in, help the clean-up crew that tidies the party space afterward, or reach out to local businesses as part of the sponsorship team. Its largest fundraiser of the year includes a silent auction.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Cedar Creek Lake Pride has included splash day festival, welcome party and drag brunch.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 26-28, 2026. It usually falls last weekend of June.
