Lexington Pride Festival

Lexington Pride holds a free, all-ages festival at the Breeden Insurance Amphitheater in Uptown Lexington. The 2026 festival on August 29 featured live music, drag performances, DJ sets and food vendors, followed by a ticketed adults-only after party.

The Lexington Pride Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and requires no ticket or registration. Public parking is available at 205 East 3rd Avenue and throughout Uptown Lexington, and organizers suggest allowing extra time to park and walk over during the busiest hours. Pets are not allowed at the amphitheater, though service animals are welcome.

The stage program runs all afternoon, and a drag show follows the festival. Food and drink vendors are on site throughout, and Lexington Pride sells T-shirts at its booth on sponsorship row. The festival goes on rain or shine, with weather updates posted on social media. Visitors are encouraged to bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, water and chairs or blankets.

Organizers, volunteers and security staff are present throughout the day, and harassment, threats or intimidation are not tolerated. The volunteer board relies on donations, volunteers and support for its vendors and sponsors to keep the festival free and to continue its work during the rest of the year.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.
