About Potsdam Pride Festival
Potsdam Pride is the community Pride celebration of Potsdam in St. Lawrence County, held in Ives Park. Past festivals have included live performances, a family-friendly drag show, Pride yoga and a youth Pride prom.
Potsdam Pride is a grassroots group focused on celebrating, supporting and empowering LGBTQIA+ people in Potsdam and nearby communities through events, advocacy and education. It is a member of NNY Pride, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Its mission centers on visibility, unity and equality, with the goal of a community where everyone can be themselves.
Beyond the June festival, the group co-presents a fall Night Market with Wildflower Body Piercing, a curated fair of alternative North Country vendors at Market Square Mall with live local music and food and drinks from Happy Hive. The market returned for a second year in 2026. Festival T-shirts sell for $20, with designs chosen through a contest that has also produced winning poster and tattoo designs, and shirts can be pre-ordered and picked up at the Pride booth.
