Pride IN Bellingham

Pride IN Bellingham is a volunteer-run nonprofit that holds a free Pride weekend in Bellingham each July. Saturday brings a family fun day in Fairhaven and an all-ages dance, and on Sunday a parade runs down Cornwall Avenue through downtown to a festival at Depot Market Square. All events are free.

Pride IN Bellingham is a Washington State 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is organized and managed entirely by volunteers. Dozens of volunteers and financial supporters plan the weekend each year, and the organizers describe their goals as inclusivity and accessibility.

Thousands of people attend the parade and festival each year, and hundreds more take part in other events spread across downtown. The events center on Depot Market Square and draw visitors from Bellingham and across the state, encouraging them to explore the downtown district as well.

At the festival itself, Pride IN Bellingham sells only merchandise that is not gendered or sized, such as fanny packs, hats, sunglasses and totes, while shirts and other sized items are printed on demand and shipped from its online store. Vendor applications for each year open in mid-April.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held July 11-12, 2026. It usually falls second weekend of July.
