Pride in Dallas (Cedar Springs September Pride)

Pride in Dallas is a volunteer-run nonprofit that stages a September Pride parade on Cedar Springs Road in the Oak Lawn gayborhood, keeping the city's traditional fall Pride alive after the main Dallas Pride moved to June. The 2026 Pride Week ran September 13 to 20 with events along the Strip, the first Oak Lawn Live street festival on September 19, and the Michael Doughman Pride Parade on September 20. The group also held a Picnic in the Park festival at Reverchon Park on May 31, 2026.

Pride in Dallas is run entirely by volunteers, and nobody draws a salary. Donations go to safety, accessibility and programming that continues through the year. The parade is free, with no tickets or wristbands; Cedar Springs Road opens at midday and organizers suggest being in place an hour before step-off. The official event map shows stages, vendor zones, restrooms, parking, ADA viewing areas, Fire and EMS posts and volunteer headquarters.

Pride Week builds along Cedar Springs with parties, performances and community events all week. It also has a working side, with six session tracks for people building health, business and advocacy resources for the community. After the parade, the bars along the Strip, including the Round-Up Saloon, S4, Sue Ellen's, Woody's, JR's, Cheatcode Lounge and TMC, stay open late.

In late spring, the group's Picnic in the Park at Reverchon Park brings more than 50 vendors, live music, the Proud Pet Parade and a kickball match between drag performers and bartenders. It is free and family-friendly.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

Pride in Dallas (Cedar Springs September Pride) has included parade, festival, pride week events, conference and interfaith service.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held September 19-20, 2026. It usually falls third weekend of September, parade on Sunday.
