Pride Bigger Than Texas (Pride San Antonio)

Pride Bigger Than Texas is San Antonio's official Pride celebration, run by the all-volunteer nonprofit Pride San Antonio. A daytime festival at Crockett Park includes entertainment, a health fair, a Pride wedding and vendors, and a night parade at 9 p.m. travels up North Main Avenue through the Pride Cultural Heritage District. Net proceeds go to local nonprofits chosen by the board.

Pride San Antonio, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) run by an all-volunteer board of directors and committees. Net proceeds from its events are given to registered nonprofits selected by the board each year and presented at public community gatherings. The group holds open meetings on the third Wednesday of each month at Woodlawn Pointe.

The Pride Bigger Than Texas Festival takes place at Crockett Park at 1300 North Main Avenue. Along with food and entertainment, it features a Pride wedding, Texas Wrestling, a health fair, and booths from LGBTQ+ and allied small businesses, vendors and nonprofits. Tickets are sold only through the official website, and at the gate entry can be paid in cash or with a prepaid QR code, since credit cards are not accepted. Drink tickets are cash only, with an ATM on site. Guests 21 and over must show ID to drink, and outside food and beverages are not allowed.

The night parade, which organizers describe as the largest LGBTQIA night parade, is free to watch, and coolers, food and drinks are allowed along the route. Some businesses along the route sell reserved seating separately. A code of conduct prohibits protests that incite violence or promote hate speech, including hateful signs and amplified inflammatory audio.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held June 27, 2026. It usually falls last Saturday of June.
