About York County Pride Festival
The York County Pride Festival is a free, family-friendly festival hosted by the Rainbow Rose Center with live performances and children's activities. The Governor's 2026 Pride proclamation named June 13, 2026 as York County Pride day.
The Rainbow Rose Center serves the LGBTQIA+ community of York and Adams counties, working to build a community where LGBTQIA+ people are supported, affirmed and able to thrive. Its stated values center on belonging, compassion, connection, integrity and standing up against injustice.
Outside of Pride, the center runs regular groups and social activities, including a young adult group and an art group, and it offers advice to families, such as help navigating a name change that affirms a relative's gender identity. People who have taken part describe finding friends and support they had not expected in the area, and past Pride events have been held at the York Fairgrounds. The center publishes a monthly newsletter, The Rainbow Connection, and relies on volunteers and donations.
