Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade

Portland Pride is the city's main Pride celebration, run by the nonprofit Pride Northwest. It includes a two-day Waterfront Festival at Tom McCall Waterfront Park with entertainment, exhibitors, and food vendors. The Pride Parade runs through downtown Portland on the Sunday of the festival weekend.

Portland Pride is produced by Pride Northwest, and the 2026 theme, Made with Pride, highlighted creativity and entrepreneurship in Portland's LGBTQ2SIA+ community and the activist roots of Pride. The festival is one of the largest donation-based Prides in the country. A $10 donation is suggested at the gate, but no one is turned away for lack of funds, and the money supports the event and Pride Northwest's year-round programming. Fast Pass and VIP options are also available, and an accessibility guide is published each year.

The Sunday parade, the largest in Oregon, begins at 11 a.m. at NW Broadway and NW Davis in the North Park Blocks, heads east, then turns south on Naito Parkway and ends at SW Harvey Milk Street at the festival.

The festival stretches along Naito Parkway in Tom McCall Waterfront Park from just north of Ash Street to the Morrison Bridge, with gates at SW Ash, SW Pine and SW Harvey Milk streets and a VIP entrance under the Morrison Bridge. Visitors may bring food and factory-sealed non-alcoholic drinks, but no glass, alcohol or cannabis edibles, and there are water refill stations inside. Smoking, vaping and drones are prohibited. There is no event parking, so organizers encourage TriMet or rideshare, and bike parking is available near the Ash and Harvey Milk entrances. Volunteers of all abilities can sign up through Pride Northwest.

Pride events celebrate LGBTQ+ people and mark the Stonewall uprising of June 1969. Most combine a parade or march with a festival of performers, community groups, vendors and food.

The organizer has not announced dates for 2027 yet. In 2026 it was held July 18-19, 2026. It usually falls a weekend in mid-July.
